Childminders are self-employed, home-based childcare professionals who look after small groups of children of different ages from one or more families. They are a popular choice for parents who require wrap-around care, or who’s children are to young to go to nursery/school. They offer parents a more ‘homely’ environment where their child’s individual needs can be met.

Childminders are perfectly placed to support the early learning and development for children of all ages, working closely with parents to provide bespoke childcare.

Childminders are considered early years professionals and are required to be registered with Ofsted.
